Elysabeth Nguyen, a Silicon Valley veteran, who is also the CEO of the foundation. The OLLV Foundation played a significant role in the production of the documentary “Our Lady at the Center,” which delves into the story of the Our Lady of La Vang apparition in Vietnam and the establishment of the landmark shrine at Christ Cathedral.
The feature-length film, which took over two years to create, was filmed in four countries and languages and includes numerous testimonies. It narrates the tale of Our Lady of La Vang from 1798 in the remote jungles of Vietnam and how she has since become a revered figure worldwide.
Additionally, the film explores the journey of the Our Lady of La Vang Shrine at Christ Cathedral, from the challenges faced in creating the 18-foot Virgin Mary statue to hosting thousands of people for the shrine’s dedication. The documentary also highlights the shrine’s unique Marian Gardens, the only one of its kind in the United States.
“Our Lady at the Center” is set to premiere on May 11 at the Freed Theater on the Christ Cathedral campus in Garden Grove, followed by another screening on May 17 at the Saigon Grand Center in Fountain Valley. Tickets and trailers for the film can be found on the website OurLadyAtTheCenter.com, with future screenings planned across the country.

Under the leadership of Bishop Kevin Vann, the Diocese aims to establish dynamic parishes and schools that welcome all to live the Gospel with faith, joy, charity, and unity.
The OLLV Foundation, founded in 2022, is dedicated to preserving the legacy of the Our Lady of La Vang Shrine and promoting the values of faith and community.
